What’s Your Inner Perfectionist Named?

I've thought up the perfect name for my inner perfectionist.

It's Salieri. Yea, that guy in the Amadeus movie.

In the film (and the play it's based on), Salieri was Mozart's frenemy. He was super jealous and sabotaged Mozart every chance he got.

My inner perfectionist used to thwart me at every turn. I was afraid to try new things because I wouldn't be able to do them perfectly. I'd get distracted by unimportant details instead of focusing on the whole project.

OK, but here's the thing: the real Salieri wasn't like that. He admired and supported Mozart.

I've trained my inner perfectionist to dial it back a few notches so he can help me strive for excellence without letting get in my way. And now my inner Salieri is more like the real guy.

So what’s your inner perfectionist named?
